Once again people of Kashmir have confirmed that they are with freedom movement, paying rich accolades to Shaheed-i-Millat Mohammad Afzal Guro on his death anniversaries, make successful the call given by joint hurriyat leaders. DPM, TSM, KFM & JKIM

In a joint statement of Democratic Political Movement, Tehreek-e-Shabab-ul-Muslimeen JK, Kashmir Freedom Movement and Jammu Kashmir Islamic Movement in which all executive members and their respective chairman’s were present including Firdous Shah said that once again People of Kashmir have proven that they are with freedom movement and affectionate towards freedom movement of Kashmir, while observing complete shutdown on 9th February 2017 on the eve of death anniversary of Shaheed-i-Milat Afzal Guru, being the victim as Kashmiri. People of Kashmir today categorically refused the stand of government of India as well as main stream parties that they are with them, but the fact of matter is that people of Kashmir was/is with freedom movement and have sacrifices their lives just for cause which is evident during 2016 when whole Kashmir was under curfew for more than five months and Kashmiri people came on road to protest against the illegal occupation of India and its puppet parties who are working in Kashmir just to sabotage the freedom struggle with the help of some anti-movement elements. Whole of world is witnessed that people of Kashmir have been mow-down, blinded hundreds of Kashmiris while using pellet, thousands have been injured due to pellet and bullet used by occupational forces. But have not succeed in their nefarious designs.

Reiterating demand for the return of the mortal remains of Shaheed Afzal Guru and Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, Firdous Shah said: “Although it is purely a human issue but India is very reluctant to this demand thereby violating all the principles of morality. Appealing the world community to pressurize the India to hand over the mortal remains of Shaheed Afzal Guru and Shaheed Mohamamd Maqbool Bhat to their respective families so that they can perform their last rites as per Muslim Personal Law.

It has been further decided that is the duty and obligation of people of Kashmir and leaders to take the mission of Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Afzal Guru to its logical conclusion.
